Maxim 2022 "Honour" Chenin Blanc
Maxim 2022 Honour Amongst Thieves Chenin Blanc
Art & Craft Collection By Maxim Wines
I wanted to have fun with this with “stealing” some grapes from another region, but just taste the result! I think I’m the only producer that makes Chenin Blanc from two different wine regions. This wine was grown and made in Gisborne under my direction.
This Chenin blanc is grown by the Briant family, there is only one hectare planted in his big vineyard. The wine was picked, crushed and pressed into tank. Fermentation was commercial yeast to enhance classic Gisborne Chenin Blanc characters. I stirred the tank every month for 5 months to build up the mid palate.
This Chenin Blanc is very aromatic and bright. It has good balance and freshness. It will work well with many food flavours and crisp and refreshing for a hot summers day.
Hey Chenin lover, check out my other Chenin Blanc too!
